“Just can’t say enough about Deerwoode Reserve, Wonderful!!!! The owners Scott and Dionne are the best, always attentive to one’s request and needs. The property it’s self, just magical, peaceful best getaway place in Western NC, hands down. You’re missing out if you don’t stay here on your next vacation. My wife and I love it!!!”
“This was our first time traveling as a family to North Carolina, for our Daughter’s wedding. Our stay at Deerwoode was amazing!! We had the resort (rented multiple cabins) to ourselves and it was perfect! Cabins are very clean, nicely decorated and equipped with everything you need for an extended stay. The property is very spread out and open, lots of space for kids to run and play, fishing ponds on site and a bamboo forest which is so fun! Lots of hiking trails and walking path’s. Dionne was fantastic to work with and very accommodating!! The Mayes Event Center and Bridal Suit is newly built and absolutely beautiful!! The bridal suit is upstairs in the event center and was perfect for the bride and six bridesmaids to get ready. The event center is perfect for any size group! We had our grooms dinner and reception there and loved it! Can’t say enough about how wonderful our Deerwoode stay was! 10/10 We will definitely be back!! ”
“Always the perfect spot for our annual family reunion. We rent the back four cabins and have plenty of privacy! Super peaceful surroundings, nightly grilling and conversations around the fire. And floated the river as well! Deerwoode is always special and Scott and Dionne are amazing hosts!”
“We had an amazing stay at Deerwoode Reserve. We wanted a family vacation close to Brevard, NC. Otter Cabin was perfect for our family. There’s so much to do on the property. It’s very peaceful. Only a couple minutes drive to downtown Brevard. Keep an eye out for that white squirrel! It would be an awesome destination for a wedding.”
“We spent four days at Deerwoode Reserve in March of 2025 for a wedding and it was one of the most peaceful, scenic, and relaxing vacations i've ever had. The cabins were simple and unique, all within walking distance of each other which provided easy collaboration with the rest of our party staying on the property. The little fishing holes, river, bamboo forest, and hiking trails all provided plenty of activities to keep us busy throughout the stay. Would recommend this place to anyone looking for a simple getaway or full blown wedding, top notch facility with a great staff that was very accommodating.”
“We had a fantastic family getaway at Deerwoode Reserve during March Break! The peaceful surroundings, scenic walking trails, and restful nights made for a truly enjoyable stay. Our cabin was perfect—cozy, well-equipped, and one of the highlights of our trip. We also loved exploring the incredible mountain bike trails in the area. Already looking forward to our next visit!”
“We had our wedding two weeks ago at Deerwoode and cannot recommend it higher. Having indoor and outdoor spaces to host all of our guests, plus most of them overnight, made for a summer camp atmosphere that was THE BEST. Dionne and Scott were always just a message away, helping behind the scenes with anything big or small that came up. Dionne even printed and brought my vows to me last minute when I couldn't find the ones I had printed! If you are considering Deerwoode as your venue, do it. You won't regret it.”
“We got married at Deerwoode Reserve in June 2025 and it was nothing short of magical. We had a large wedding and rented the entire reserve for the weekend, our closest family and friends stayed on the reserve. The event center is incredible, absolutely perfect for any big event. Dionne and Scott put a lot of thought and love into that space and it shows. All of the cabins are lovely and our friends and family were blown away by everything on the reserve from the swimming hole to the walking trails. We felt taken care of from the first day we arrived. Dionne and Scott were always available for questions and even helped find additional vendors for us for various things we needed throughout the weekend. Deerwoode is a special place and we feel incredibly lucky to have been able to celebrate this moment of our lives there.”
